As soon as several video signals needs to be combined through a common treatment, there is a need for synchronisation in the course to have line matching across the different pictures. This synchronisation can be established by two means: a common reference signal commonly labeled “Ref” or “Genlock”, or the use of a frame synchroniser which requires much more technology and adds an extra delay on the signal. The most effective way is the Genlock signal covered in this article. |
